Lunar New Year

To celebrate Chinese New Year, Santa Monica Place had me design a stage that would be the backdrop for a whole weekend of activities. Entertainment provided by Karla Roth wondered through the center of mall interacting with guests. A themed photo backdrop and wishing tree were positioned on either side of the stage in order to provide a larger experience. The overhead canopy of Chinese lanterns was not only thematic but brought a visual connection with the variouis levels of the mall itself.
